The penultimate week of the LCS Spring Split is upon us, and this is the week where a single match can decide a team’s future in the LCS. While teams like TSM, C9, and G2 have already secured their playoff spot, there are still a few left.
In the bottom of the rankings, Team Liquid and Roccat are desperately trying to avoid relegation. Both EU and NA LCS have some very interesting split rankings, and at this point, most teams can still qualify for the playoffs.
Predictions For The Biggest Matches of Week 9
Since this is the last week for NA LCS, we’ll be focusing on their matches a bit more than usual.
Roccat vs. Misfits
We’re not sure what Roccat did to go from being a bottom team to winning four games straight. Roccat defied everyone’s expectations and are suddenly a contender for the playoffs. If they win this match and the right teams win they could qualify.
Our Pick
We’re rooting for Roccat to win this one, but with money on the line, we’ll have to go with Misfits. The latter did lose two of their most recent matches, but they were both against two of the best teams in EU LCS.

Cloud9 vs. Phoenix1
Neither of these teams risks missing the playoffs, but they are still fighting for 2nd best seeding in the playoffs.
Our Pick
Cloud 9’s recent performance has been less-than-stellar with a loss against IMT, among other things. C9 has the potential to win, but we’ll have to go with Phoenix1 on this one.

Immortals vs. CLG
CLG and Immortals have upped their momentum significantly, and now these two forces will clash over a precious playoff spot. This pair defeated Cloud9 very recently and beat a few mediocre teams. CLG may be higher on the rankings, but right now they’re very even regarding skill.
Our Pick
CLG are currently on a roll and triumphed against teams such as Phoenix1, that IMT lost against last week. We’re putting our money on CLG for this one, but it could go either way.

TSM vs. Phoenix1
TSM have already secured 1st seed, so this match carries little meaning for them, or does it? They may still want to inflict a loss on P1 and cripple their seeding. Either way, no team likes losing, and we expect TSM to give it their best. For P1 this is a vital match; a loss could put them in a situation where they have to face TSM in the first playoffs round.
Our Pick
TSM are currently on a 7-win streak, and we’d be fools if we didn’t choose them as the most likely winner. We haven’t counted P1 out 100%, but the odds are most definitely not in their favor despite their recent performance.
