Next week’s LCS Spring Split Playoffs is rapidly approaching, and this will be one semifinal you won’t want to miss! The quarterfinals brought us two huge upsets which mean we have a very interesting semifinal ahead of us.
If you missed the quarterfinals we’ll give you a quick recap: Fnatic pulled off a huge upset against H2k and ran them over 3-0. No one saw this coming, and this means we have a G2 vs. Fnatic matchup! Misfits edged Splyce out with a 3-2 victory, so they’ll be facing Unicorns of Love.
Across the pond, we also had an upset where Flyquest completed a reverse sweep against CLG and advancing to face Team Solomid. Phoenix1 convincingly won against Team Dignitas without dropping a single game and will go up against Cloud9 next.

Everything you need to know about the semifinals
The semifinals follow the same schedule as the quarterfinals and will be played Saturday and Sunday starting at 17:00 CEST. 2 matches – one from each region – is played each day and both are best of 5. You can view the semifinals on Twitch and the LCS Youtube channel.
G2 Esports vs. Fnatic
The nigh undefeatable G2 goes up against the middling Fnatic, and most people have probably already made up their mind on who’s going to win. We believe that Fnatic will actually win this match which might seem crazy, but we’ll explain why:
We saw a completely reformed Fnatic against H2k who have changed their playstyle heavily. G2 showed weakness at the end of the group stage, and it is unlikely they expected Fnatic in the semifinals, and it is improbable they will have time to change their strategy. This is still a risky bet, but we believe Fnatic will defy the odds and triumph.
Odds: bet365 4.33 | Betway 4.00
Team Solomid vs. Flyquest Esports
A win for TSM here is almost guaranteed, and Flyquest will have to put up their absolute best if they even want a chance to win. Flyquest did impress us when they reverse swept CLG, but will now have to face the undoubtedly best team in the NA and perhaps western LCS.
Odds: bet365 1.20 | Betway TBD
Unicorns of Love vs. Misfits
Misfits just barely made it to the semifinals after scraping together the 3rd win against Splyce and will now have to go up against the 2nd seed. We saw a Misfits that showed a similar play style with little changes and UoL should have no problems taking them down.
Odds: bet365 1.66 | Betway 1.60
Cloud9 vs. Phoenix1
P1’s midlaner Ryu is currently playing insanely well and if he keeps this up, he could very well carry P1 to the finals. While Cloud9 are good, they won’t stand a chance against this P1 lineup, assuming they keep their form up.
